All my photos got deleted!

Ish
I've been part of the 365project for over 10 years now and have documented a few years of my life in photos. I was also an Ace member for some time.

In the last months, I was too busy to post new photos, but continued to snap photos and planed to post them when I have the time again.

A week ago I noticed that all my photos were gone.

I did not receive an email with a warning of my inactivity.

As soon as I made this horrible discovery, I sent an email to Ross asking for my photos to get them back, but I haven't received any answer. I would be willing to pay to get them back, they have sentimental value to me (a decade of my life).

Has this happened to anyone else? Can you help me get my photos back? What can I do? :(

When I was on this place years ago too, it wasn't possible to get them back, even if offer to pay and the whole account gone. Sorry this has happened, it's hard but I guess Ross has to be careful as it costs to keep everyones photos.

I think that within a certain time limit (6 months???), if you get your ace account going, you might find your albums are still there (?).

Poor memory, but I think I had this happen way back when Paypal was accepted. Had an expired card with PP, and could renew here. Got that fixed, re-upped and albums were still there. AGAIN, you mileage may vary.

If you are not an ACE member, inactive accounts are deleted after 6 months, according to the Terms & Conditions for the site. https://365project.org/support/terms#inactive Doesn’t look like you can get them back afterwards, unfortunately.

“Inactive Account Closure
Inactive accounts will be closed automatically after a period of inactivity lasting greater than 6 months. An email will be sent to the registered email address giving at least 2 weeks notice and instructions on how to keep your account open and active. When an account is closed all photos are removed without possibility of recovery. Log in regularly to ensure your account stays active.”

Thanks for all the answers so far! I know that after some time of inactivity, albums can get deleted, but it should only happen after receiving an email, which I haven't. Otherwise I would have immediately uploaded my new photos. :(

@ljmanning Thank you

@ishi - If I recall correctly, I believe this topic came up before and one of the replies stated that if you have an ACE membership and have only one album and drop that, your photos will remain. But if you have more than one album they all are deleted.
Sorry to hear of our misfortune.
