Pray for missing journalists

March 16th, 2011
The New York Times said Wednesday that four of its journalists reporting on the conflict in Libya were missing, including two photographers, Tyler Hicks and Lynsey Addario, who have worked extensively in the Middle East and Africa.
Here are the most recent published photos from Hicks, who happens to be the stepson of a friend of mine.

Those are some incredibly powerful shots. I'm thinking of them and hoping for their safe return home.

Wow. That is close to home for you. Nice work, and doing what they love. I hope they are ok.

I'd met Taylor Hicks years ago when I first moved to Wilmington, NC. He was one of the photographers at the StarNews at the time before going to the NY Times. He has seen some action in his life...I just hope he gets to see a lot more.

He sounds like a very courageous man and I sure hope he and his colleagues are discovered safe and well - all the best to your friend while she waits for news.

That is very unsettling knowing all the chaos over there. Praying that they are safe.

Having a father who was in Bosnia (Croatia) as part of a journalist team I must appreciate this mans work.

War is not nice and the only way to win is to not play.

May they both be safe.
