I just realised something: the image I took yesterday for my project looks exactly like an image from another photographer (Severin Koller, you should read his blog btw). Has this ever happened to you?
When I was in college I took a picture of an unmade bed. My professor gave me a project to do for Imogen Cunningham. At the time I hadn't heard of her, but she has some famous images of an unmade bed. So yes, I have in the past, but not anything digital or recent. She has really beautiful black and white photos, especially her nudes and flower shots.
I took a picture deliberately like another...I loved it so much I wanted to recreate it. It's by Irene L, probably my biggest inspiration as far as the style that is slowly becoming my own.
