My wife and I had an incredible day taking wonderful pictures together and I was just in the process of reviewing them and getting one ready to post; however it seems my laptop is on the verge of a hard-drive failure.
My wife has the exact same model as mine and had the same issue and lost over a years worth of photo's. That being said I am madly scrambling to make sure what I have is definitely back upped and the photo I was just about to post will have to wait. I am not sure if I will be quite as active on here as I have been until my laptop is looked into. My humblest apologies and thank you so much for following and inspiring me!

I strongly dislike my HP laptop, I've had nothing but problems with it but I'll run it until it dies. The hard drive was replaced once at 6 months and then again at 11 months, so at least while it was still under warranty. And I spent almost $1000 on data recovery because I hadn't backed it up. It'll never happen again and I'll never buy HP again!!!
@cholbert we really loved this model up to this point one year in and hardrive issues really sucks and we were still mourning the loss of family photo's as one grieves the loss of an actual family member sorry to hear you had similiar issues :(
NOOOoooooo! We'll miss you awesome photos and sense of style and humor- get it fixed soon (and take Beth up on her offer to share) I'd hate it if either of you went awol!
@jannaellen so far my backing up is working :) and do not fret my wife is going to let me access her laptop until mine is fixed so I will definetly keep posting just not as fast as I want too...I am a 365 addict :)

that is such a bummer!!!!!! I am glad you caught it in time too though, at least you have time to back up your stuff.

@amyhughes lol about macs...I have been seriously been considering them for music remixing and lately I am wondering if we should think about them for our new found love of photography...it was such a wonderful monday too we had such a good time...then we read your sad post on 365facebook about your bad day...then found out a facebook friend went from married to single...then my laptop!...bad things happen in threes on mondays??? lol despite it all got to keep on path...keep positive...be thankful what you have in life and definetly was not going to let this ruin the day I had with Beth and our children :)
@loztsoul absolutely!! My son I guess is very intuitive and asked me if I was sad, and so I told him I was, I said I had a bad day. He asked if he could kiss it and make it better. LOL....that totally made my night. :D Kids make everything all better don't they? :D
@loztsoul My pc actually crashed a few weeks ago, took pictures of the dead one for this project, LOL. No data was lost since I tend to back important pictures up in at least 3 different places.
@indiannie_jones lol hilarous!! I just spit my coffee out laughing and sorry about worrying you about HP...I think I just realized HP stands for "Heavy Paperweight" or is it "Hardrive Problems"? :)
@loztsoul sorry....Last year I installed Carbonite online back up and just in time. My daughter had been having issues with her computer and it came in VERY handy just a couple of days after all her initial back up was complete. Reinstalling everything was so easy. I just installed SOS yesterday. I hadn't renewed Carbonite and want to give this one a try. It covers up to 5 computers.
@loztsoul We have an HP PC and have nothing but problems with it since about 6 months after we got it. Since then it has had 3 new hard drives and a new mother board and still isn't what it should be. I lost some of my photos once but I had just backed up a few weeks before, and mostly work on my Acer laptop. Sorry you are going through HP headaches- hope everything works out for you!
