I like it, but here's how I'd modify your Idea.
I'd like it to show a page of 15 or so random small images (like the new faces page) so you can view more photos faster, and click on the ones you'd like to see bigger.
I'd also like the option to limit the search to people who have logged in in the last 7 days. This way if you're using it to look for new contacts, you can eliminate all the people who have finished or given up and no longer visit the site.
Great idea...along the lines of the flashback option only way better. I agree with the 7 day limit. I am sure there are lots of users on here with great photos in their albums but they finished/quit/lost interest in their project a year or two or three ago. While it would be nice to see their pictures it seems to me that it would be more fun to see current users and their pictures.
"Browse Latest" does it for me: 28 images, entirely unpredictable and guaranteed to be still active, not given up or run out of ideas. Then click again a minute later for an even more up-to-date selection. What could be more random or inspirational than that?
@wordpixman I agree, a bit. I still think one random photo sounds better. Besides, you wouldn't have to wait to refresh more images. There would always be a new random one. Fussy bunch of 365ers, give em' an inch and they want a mile. ;)
@icywarm oh and it will be quicker and have more new users in it the more people use the therein-linked "dead account scanner" too, as that's ultimately the way it discovers new user accounts. There's no independent site crawling going on, it's all powered by that.

But im sure its heaps cool, if only i could see :-P
it would feature lots of the 'little people' who don't get attention, except on the 'latest' page.
