what can u say about this..? this is for lay outing stuff for printouts magazines and all... im kind of having a hard time doing the layout for printing on CS5.. my friend told me about this...
has anyone used this before and/or using this software?
I love InDesign!! I use it to layout pages for the newspaper at my university. It has such great versatility and usability, I'm a huge Adobe fan. I've also laid out ads, fliers, collages and brochures in InDesign.
like for the usual size print outs? magazine size.. A4.. i mean, is there any tools where i can click or use to just put my pic there and VIOLA! i don't have to worry about the printouts.. UGHHHHH! >.< when i do this on cs5... my head wants to explode.. hahaha
Indesign is primarily a layout tool, so yeah, it would definitely help with what you are trying to do. Photoshop sucks for layout. But unless you are wanting to do graphic design, you might find that you are only using it to a very small amount of its capability, maybe lightroom's print feature might do what you need (and it's much less expensive, and geared directly for working with photos).
The CS5 version of Indesign does have some pretty powerful tools for working with image based layouts (especially collage type things), eg. you can adjust the size of any two images' bounding boxes and maintain the space in between, that sort of thing.
@maceugenio Any time! You can always get the trial version of Indesign (30 day trial) and see if it does what you need. Don't know if you can get a trial of lightroom though.
