Taking Pictures in Your Dreams

April 5th, 2011
So, do you take pictures in your dreams? I do. And I don't mean that I take *good* pictures on my dreams. My dreams are just like real life, where I see this gorgeous landscape or sunset, and I'm so busy fussing with aperture and the right shutter speed that I miss the shot. I guess that would be classified as a photographer's nightmare! They say that when you begin speaking another language in your dreams that means you've mastered the language. Does taking photographs in your dreams mean you're a real photographer??

OMG I thought I was going mad, when I arrange a photoshoot for days before I am dreaming about lights and angles, when I half wake I will jot a note on the pad beside the bed and then can't settle back to sleep. I have a shoot Thursday morning with a girlfriend who is a professional belly dancer, full costume on the beach.... I am already in full "seeing the shot" mode, praying that I get "the one"!!!
So in answer to your question "does it make you a photographer"....
Nope I think it just means I need to review my medication!!!!

Jani, that I follow has this series that he does about Mr. Panda. I think he's like a double agent spy panda or something. Anyways, it's a very creative series, and I actually found myself dreaming about it the other night. I explained the images from my dream to him the next day and asked if he thought he could pull it off - within a day this is what he posted, which I thought was pretty amazing.

I was taking pictures in my dreams last night but I am sure the new camera is playing a role in that! LOL! I dream of flowers and sunshine and bugs. =)

I'm so glad you posted this... because I have been dreaming about taking pictures for about the last month! Or I will go to bed thinking about where I want to go tomorrow to get something unique and not be able to sleep! Happy to see that I am not alone :)
