I finally am getting some of my "fine art" photos published!! And they all came out of my 365 project, so finally I am seeing a reason for doing this :P
I have been published numerous times for automotive/motorsports stuff (even worked for a car magazine), and write for a bengal cat breed magazine... but this is my first time for photos that are a bit different. It's in my school's literary magazine, which might not seem like a big deal, but people go on to win national awards from it. So it still pleases me, because it meant the staff had to like my photos!
I submitted 6, 3 made it... the "winners" are...
"First Snow"
"Unseen Beauty"
"Teddy Bear Factory"
First Snow made the popular page, I took it out of my bedroom window and edited the crap out of it (not my usual thing to do). Unseen Beauty is an infrared photograph I took up in the mountains near where I grew up. Teddy Bear Factory was taken at an abandoned/decaying oil refinery that is called the teddy bear factory by locals.
Just thought I would toot my own horn! :)

Wow, congratulations! I had my first photo published last year in my school's literary magazine, and I think we're going to publish at least a couple of mine this year (I'm on staff :P). It's so fun to see your work in print!
I've decided I will go to the reception/public reading. I'll have to stand up and explain my work to everyone, which makes me nervous as I HATE talking in front of crowds, so I am going to start practicing what I will say...
Hopefully @dennyshunk can make it so he can see me in person telling the world how I found infrared photography :P ;)
