I met Kristina 4 years ago.. I had just come out of a horrible relationship and she made me realize my self worth. She has been raising my two children along side me.. She has stood by me throughout the custody battle with my baby sisters and brother. She is such an important part of the process that I can honestly say, I couldn't do with out her.

This is an oldie but goodie... This is a picture of me and my girlfriend Kristina @kdutson. She is the love of my life and she has helped me grow into an amazing person. I was broken when I met her and she helped me find me. It is because of her that we are able to raise not only our two kids but also my brother and two sisters.

When I Scott and I started dating, I knew we would get married. We both knew. One night, I had a dream that he proposed with a ring that looked like both a starfish and bike helmet. (Yes, you read that right). It covered my whole hand. I can still see the dream in my head years later.
10 years ago today Scott picked me up from work and drove me to Walton Trail Company, so we could shop for a much needed bike rack. While we were there Scott reminded me that I needed a new helmet. When we walked over to the helmets, Wonderwall by Oasis started playing, which is our song. We looked at the helmets for a few minutes when Scott pointed to a white one with starfish stickers on it and told me to try it on. I said, "No, it's for a kid." He said, "You have a small head, let's try it on for size." I finally agreed and attached to the strap was a beautiful ring. The next thing I knew, he was down on one knee and said, "Courtney, I love you. Will you marry me?" Once I found my voice, I said, "Yes."
By attaching my ring to a star fish-bike helmet, he made my dream come true and he continues to do so everyday.
Anniversary63 / 365My husband are celebrating our 10th anniversary together today. When we started out we were young and crazy in love, but we had our issues and fought every day for 3 years. I couldn't imagine making it through another day, but we fought for the love that we knew we had for each other and it was worth the fight. Now 10 years later we have two beautiful children now and have been through everything else in between. I can't imagine where we would be if we had given up. We are strong, our love is strong and our God is even stronger. Happy Anniversary Babe!

I met my husband the summer after I graduated from high school. He was a lifeguard at an AF (Air Force) base pool and I was a basket attendant (job created for low income AF families). I was going to go into the AF so they would pay my way into nursing school. I wasn't going to get married until I was at least 28, had my degree and worked a few years. That summer changed my life. I met him in June, he asked me to marry him in July and we got married the following August. Now years later and 4 kids, 3 grandkids and an RN degree we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary last August. I may have had a plan but God had his own plan for me and it has worked out just perfectly! This pic is from our 35th anniversary trip to Las Vegas:
This was us back in the beginning, before too many people and things tore us apart. He was, and still is, the love of my life and my best friend. We aren't able to be together any more, far too much damage done by both of us, but it's also true that nieither of us can bear the thought of not having the other in our life in some capacity. Sad story to be sure, but it's my story.
@indiannie_jones - Thanks Annie, I'm reminded of the quote, "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened". I hope your love story has a happy ending.

I haven't met that special someone yet.. or if I have then I don't know it's them yet. Either way, I'm sure it'll happen sometime.
