Lesson learned

April 10th, 2011
This morning I lent my camera to a friend. I put it in Auto mode and show her
how to point and shoot. Somehow she managed to reformat the memory and erase all the pictures that I took yesterday and the day before... good pictures too.
So I learned three things

1. Not to give my camera to some one that doesn't have idea how to use it ( dont matter how easy I think it is)

2. Download my good pictures right away.

3. Just learn to be selfish when it comes to my camera :(

I'm sorry that happened :(

I've let my cousin use mine but I trust her and she treated the camera better than I treat it, haha.

That sux, I'm sorry. Like you said, lesson learned. It's ok to be a little selfish in certain circumstances!

Whenever I've lent my camera to someone else I've always regretted it, usually because they take better shots than I do or because they end up taking liberties or unnecessary risks with it. Thankfully I've never had them delete things but that must be so frustrating

@shenay @alexgdowding @indiannie_jones @tkallen Thanks for the support :)
~4 hours later I still feel like crying and thinking the photos I lost... The light yesterday was perfect. It felt like the first day of spring with a nice blue sunny warm day :P. To makes me feel better my boyfriend keeps telling me there is nothing I can do now ( and I know) but he just doesn't really get it .

That's really rubbish. :-( I leant mine to a friend once to take a photo of me blowing out candles on a cake. She dropped it and it broke. She wasn't even decent enough to offer to help replace it. I asked her for the money in the end (only half). Here's another lesson - if you do lend your camera, make sure they use the wrist strap.

That sucks! Sorry. I'm greedy with mine. I don't even let my husband touch it.

funny thing is....I trust my friends more with my camera than I trust myself. Have never had to worry about lending mine to them, but they have offered me the use of theirs. I've turned them down every single time. (It's not that I am not careful with them. Electronics just hate me)

I have let my "son" use mine in the past. Was just so proud that he was interested in taking photos that I didn't care if he broke it or not. (Well, I cared. Just not enough to say "no". And I forced him to use the neck strap). Sadly for me he is no longer interested at all. Because I still wouldn't hesitate to let him borrow mine

I let my brother use it once and he deleted all these pictures me and my friend took for memories sack...I was so...angry!
I'm sorry by the way!

My Camera is my life and my buddy and i never let anybody use it or barrow it unless he/she knows something about how to use it, but still never did that he eh eh., yes i should say I'm being selfish. So i always have another simple point and shoot camera where i can let them use it for something. Never had such experience like that with camera, because yeah I AM SELFISH . heheheheh sorry.
