I can't help but laugh at the fact that this photo made the popular page. I have posted so many photos of lovely places and things around east Tennessee, yet the most disgusting picture I've posted (in my opinion) this week makes the popular page. It just goes to show you that you never know what people will like. Thank you to all the people who viewed, commented, and FAVed this photo. I guess I will admit that it is an interesting picture. :-)
@sherriwear It's a great pic Sherre and on the PP for a reason. I have this one which I never even thought would get a comment, let alone a fav or the PP!!
@psychographer Oh, Lisa, I thought this one was awesome the moment I saw it. I truly looks like some oil painting from one of the "great masters" of art. It certainly is nicer to view than a danged box elder bug!!!
Yea, my broccoli picture made the pp page. I had to laugh because I was just goofing around with it. One never knows what people will like on any given day. ;-)
@sherriwear Haha, that's so kind of you Sherri. It's so right though, one man's feast is another man's poison and it's all in the eye of the beholder etc. etc. etc. so we can never tell what's going to appeal to other people do we :o) xx
Hmmm...maybe I should post the picture of the blood engorged tick and see if that is what it takes for me to make it...but it sooo disgusting I don't think I could.
@sherriwear ... Sometimes I wonder about the choices for the popular page, and why others don't get chosen. So far, out of 2 1/2 months on 365, I've only had one of my pix make it to the popular page. That was my assorted color vases with candles. Go figure...................... Sherri, I am not keen on bugs, but your pix above is really good with close up details.
@peacerebel Charlene, from what I can make out it's the amount/speed people fav. If one of my pics gets fav'd really quickly I can almost guarantee it'll be on the PP the following day but it doesn't necessarily mean that my photos are better than anyone elses. I see loads on the newfaces which are far better than mine :o) xx
@peacerebel yepp... it is/would be nice... over the year I have seen more than one great photographer quit because they didn't or stopped being regulars on the pp... but sounds like you are not about to storm off in protest...
@peacerebel Thank you, Charlene. I'm not a bug fan either, but I learned to tolerate them while my son was in his bug phase. We've moved on to dinosaurs, so I don't have to worry about catching them and bringing them in the house!!! If it makes you feel any better, I think this pic has already been booted off the PP. :-)
@icywarm ... Jordan, what I really like about 365 is its upping my photography skills, presenting me with new challenges, get to view others terrific work AND allows me to chat with cool folk like you, Sherri and other hipsters.
@icywarm i have to agree with you.. and @peacerebel hahahhahaha yeah feels good to be listed there... ^____^ i have some who i think don't deserve to be on the PP and yet they made it... while some i think are goprgeous shot i took (no bragging aside..just my opinion hahaha) didn't make it... but all cool.. didn't come here in 365 for the PP... ^____^
@maceugenio ... I too didn't know about PP until one of my "followers" mentioned one of my pix made it back in late Feburary. Since then none of my pix have graced the PP. Oh well ... no biggie.
