So my first thread will be about my last picture! I'm sure that's deep and meaningful in some way.
A full year of 365. I was certain on MANY occasions that I'd never finish. I started this project for something to do, a way to journal my days. It turned into alot more!
Through this project, I found the confidence and courage to take photography courses, stretched my wings photographically, and even got published in a magazine.
The project was MINE, and so I never solicited for followers, commented only when something moved me...and that shows in the low number of followers. All of which I'm happy to know someone is looking at my work. But somehow this became a new way to stay in touch with my family. My parents, an uncle, and a cousin share this, and share our tidbits of life in photos. How cool is that?
I'll probably start another project shortly. As a lurker on these forums, I enjoy the positive and encouraging vibe of this site. As Arnold said "I will be back". Just taking some time off to start fresh.
Thanks for the Year!
I like your attitude. Your forum title caught my eye, as this is a repetitive phrase in Vonnegut's work "Slaughterhouse 5", which led to a song written by Billy Joel years ago.
I'm sorry I never knew to followed you. My kind of personality.
Congratulations! I think this is one of the few places that I would have a hard time saying good bye to after a year, so plan to continue. I love the peeps here!
Congratulations on completing your 365 photos! Also, congratulations on keeping true to the reason you started the 365 Project!!! You are now one of my "365 Project Sheros." :)
Congratulations...and that's a long word for my ( I mostly say gratz ) .
I am only 1/3 along my project and I sence some of your thoughts as I visit here daily. It is true the projects are for each individual to decide what they do it for and what they want to get out of it. There is a side "game like Facebook people to have 1 million "friends" but hey it's what ever you want it to be.
An old prof commented on the value of religion ( he was a Jesuit ) If it makes your life better then it's good if not then it's not. Simple but so true as with most things.
Have a good move I hope packing and travel go stress free...well I can hope.
Congratulations to you! I also finished my project today and plan to continue because it seems so a part of my life at this point. It's been a really eye opening year for me as well. All the best to you. Hope to see you back here when you're ready!

Bring it back!
