Portrait Professional 10

I downloaded the trial version of this software. I really like it. It's so easy to use and after I'm done, I actually look good in a picture (although one of my lovely children said I looked like an alien!)

I am thinking of purchasing the full version. Does anyone have any opinions? Does anyone have any experience with it? If you have it, do you use it often? It's on sale now; so, the price is right if the software is worth it!

I've used it, but didn't like it. I'm not keen on how it realligns the facial structures to make people "more beautiful". While I use a lot of Photoshop, and will admit to using the liquify tool on occasion to reduce saggy arms, double-chins or waistlines, I just can't get my head around the changes done by this particular software set.

To my mind, it's a bit dumbed-down, a bit too automated, and a bit presumptious (if software can be such a thing). AFAIK not a single one of my pro photog friends use it.

On the other hand, it does have its place. And if you like the way it works and the results it gives, and it suits your style of photography, well... it is a powerful piece of software that achieves results fast.

My personal preference is plain old Photoshop CS5, with the Portraiture plugin for cleaning up skin. I have lots of plugins and actions, but that's all I need for portraits, along with Lightroom 3 for the batch editing and sorting.
