365: Binding into a book

May 14th, 2011
Has anyone ever bound their 365 photos into a photo book after the year was over? Or even if you're not there yet but have these plans I'm just wondering what photo site you might have used to create books that would include not only your photos but the descriptions too. I've considered snapfish, kodak gallery, etc. I've also considered scrapbooking this project. But it's all a lot of work.

Any other ideas?

Agreed, blurb is what I'm going to use. I plan on using them for my wedding photos and our guest book.

I have created family photo books through www.lulu.com and do plan to get my 365 project printed into a book as well.

Blurb all the way. We have four books we are currently creating via Blurb, my 365 when it's done, @araminta 365 when it's done, a family album and an introduction to our family for when we foster.

A thought I've often had ! Couldn't Ross offer a printed calender as an extra ?
Gonna check out Blurb - not sure from SA though ?

I would like to get a book done too. Can you use blurb in the UK?

I am using Creative Memories Storybook, but I already have the software and have done them in the past. I learned very quickly to scrapbook each day as I uploaded because you can get behund very easily and before you know it, you have a month waiting. I am doing an 8' x 8' layout with a single day per page, and I'm also entering my daily description/story that goes with the pic.

I'm over halfway through my project and have created a Blurb Book which I add to each week so it doesn't become a massive task- i'll publish as soon as I'm done!

I've thought about it. I have iPhoto on my computer and they have a great book project built into the software. I've thought about using it.

Blurb has been mentioned a few times and I would certainly give them the thumbs up. I intend cherry picking from my 365 to put in book form and Blurb is the one I'll go with. Their binding and papers are great and reasonably priced, I think.

I plan on putting mine in a photo album. I print out a few eachtime I order some prints. The blurb thing does look cool though.

I've made three blurb books already and am always pleased when they arrive. And i've sold a handful too but you have to get like $20 of sales before they send you a cheque.

Thanks for all the tips and thoughts everyone.
Blurb sounds like the place to go. I am definitely planning to do this. Can't wait to have a fabulous keepsake of the year.

@chewyteeth ... hadn't thought of selling it but that's an interesting idea. Thanks.

@julz
this is a fantastic idea!!

@julz Blurb will ask it by default and you can opt out but it's automatic. Good luck, the downloaded software is nice and really easy to use.

@sparkle Juliette, just wondering whether you managed to create the book and put the text that goes with each picture with it? Have you accessed blurb direct from the 365 website? I really want my book to have all the descriptions that I've written with the pics, but can't work out if theres a way to do it from here? I've just finished my project today and whilst I have all the pictures saved, I don't have the text anywhere else!
