Wall Papering the City

Boston's North End is renowned for it prominent Italian culture as well as the revolutionary historical value, but like many city properties, some of the buildings are in need of make-overs and repair. This resident (he's a photographer, architect, and painter) takes photos and blows them up on canvas to add some character to otherwise lacking spaces. The images are intended disguise and dress up the area. One building - at least two sides of it - was covered in an image of ivy and vines clean up and add some greenery to the bland exterior. This video shows them covering bricked up windows with images of curtains, hanging plants, cats, and lamps. Pretty impressive and generous use of his talents.

cool, our town has started displaying work by local photography students in empty shop windows to try and distract us all from how many empty units there are in the town centre,it is nice to have a look at what the learn-ed are producing although i am a bit unsure about one student who has 2 pieces of work on display and they are both really out of focus,i can only think that was his intention
