@killerjackalope Thanks Adam! There is a Photography Show going on here....and they have the Lensbaby set to a good price. It gives those pictures really cool effects. Truthfully I am asking for someone else. I guess she just has to decide wether to buy it or not. I told her this would be a good place for opinions before she buys it.
The other option is to do the tilt and shift effect in Photoshop (if you use it). You can add a blur layer to any image in Photoshop and then put a gradient mask over it to cause the same effect as a tilt and shift. Much easier too. I considered a lens baby but, after reading many articles about it in digital mags, decided to stick to photoshop. The only problem with taking a shot in this mode is that you can never go back. If you take it and add the effect later you can always revert to the original if you want. Just a thought.
Have fun either way. The tilt and shift effect is really cool.
I don't have one, but I've seen some great shots with one by Cara Jill Smith http://365project.org/carajill/365/2011-05-13
You can follow her tag ("lensbaby") and see some other shots

Some of the descriptions have opinions on the lens, also you get a notion of them in action...
