@rainbowsnic42 Yes Mom lol I hear you.. It would be nice for people to tell us they are leaving and not simply disappear.

@rainbowsnic42 : I'm with you there! After a gap of two months I usually remove persons from my list if they haven't left a notice of a vacation or something because otherwise I keep returning to the same old pictures. But one of the persons I unfollowed actually reappeared and I felt very bad about it because I had loved her work. I don't think she likes me anymore now :(.

I think some people don't realise that they have "active" followers; they don't realise they'll be missed if they "disappear". That happened to me with someone I follow (and whose style I really enjoy)... so I left a note on a photo of hers to ask if she was OK; she was just on holiday.

It's not just the "mother hens" who worry, you know... ;-)

It doesn't really bother me too much if they don't say where they've gone but I have unfollowed maybe three or four who disappeared for several months - though, I wouldn't unfollow if we were friends, obviously. I have at least a handful now that probably won't come back but s'ok because I talk to them outside of here and know they're well :)

Maybe some people have too much going on, and they just leave. Seriously, big deal. Life goes on. This isn't Facebook. If they have 300 people they follow, one really expects someone to go to 300 peoples pages and post a goodbye note? C'mon now.

"The Steve" developed a program that was called something like "The dead persons list". It shows you who you follow that hasn't posted in awhile, and you cna remove therm. It is buried in the threads somewhere.

@moncooga I wonder if it's less of the 'how dare they' and more of the 'are they ok?' feeling, given the mother hen comment :)?
May 20th, 2011
@moncooga weel no you wouldnt expect them to notify everyone obviously but a note or comment on a last post thats all i was saying ..obviously some of us actually find people as interesting as the photos and have a natural caring nature !!!!!!

I am a guilty party here... Recently I went away for less than a week and although I had thought to leave a message with my last photo just before leaving... I forgot to. I just had so many last minute things to attend to that it skipped my mind completely. Then instead of correcting my mistake I left it thinking that no one would miss me in five days. I was wrong. I certainly won't make that same mistake twice...

I also have followers disappear on me and its always a worry..I wonder did they just stop posting or has something happened to them. and then I have some that stopped posting and after a long time came back only at this time they didn't follow me anymore. reason beeing unknow as I still comment on their pictures.

I'm guilty. I'm in the process of starting a photography business. I've been editing proofs like crazy, and my project has been put off. Please forgive me!!! I've been working on my selfies and I fully intend to jump back into my project!

@sweett That's okay because you rock at life. Well, at least photography.

And I disappeared for a REALLY long time. We are talking 3 or 4 months here. Don't give up on them! Give them a nudge!
