Is there any way to fix hot pixels or is that a "needs to be replaced or just live with it" issue? (Sorry I started two threads today... promise I won't do this every day!!)
If it is on the LCD, you may not be able to do anything, and camera manufacturers probably won't change a camera for you or fix it unless there are more than several.
If it's on the sensor, you may be able to claim it under warrenty/change for another camera as there are certain threshold that manufacturers will change it for you.
Do they show up with every image, or only when you use longer exposures? Usually hot pixels are a byproduct of long exposures and that's normal, but if it's happening with every image regardless of exposure I'd see about getting it fixed if it's under warranty. If it Isn't under warranty and it's just one or two pixels, you're probably better off just editing them out or start looking for a new camera.
@marubozo Is it just me, or is it getting a little hot in here? Yeah, Jeremy did a great job explaining it. I get hot pixels on my cameras all the time when shooting long exposures at night. If you don't have your gear insured, get it that way fast. It's pretty easy to do.
