I am visiting for the first time NY on February 2012 and, although I saw plenty of photos from guides, I would like to see the REAL NY from the point of view of a NYer.
Anybody?
Same here......I'm on Long Island though but I have been to the city tons of times. If you need any tips or places to visit, let me know and I'll try to help you out. What are you looking at in Brooklyn? Family or sightseeing?
Even though I am not from there I have visited there before. The obvious are things like Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty. Riding the Staten island Ferry is nice. If you like theatre then you need to definitely take in a show
@mattyb I am just for the sightseeing =) I will let you know if any doubts arrise. Particulary I was looking for some 365er that shoot daily photos of NY.
@bkbinthecity I think I will skip the theatre, but thanks! I am really excited to know all the obvious places and also the "underground" ones.
@shadesofgrey you know.... your a great person. you always let me shine... i dont know how many more times i can really thank you.. but im gonna say it again! THANK YOU! *hug*
@mattyb I replied to you and it got deleted! Grrr I still haven't investigate to much about Brooklyn, but I will make sure no to go on late hours. I guess it's pretty much the same in all countries.
@andrebarrande there are lots and lots to see out here... lived here all my life and im still finding new things that are soooo intriguing... make sure u have an itinerary... lol
I was just thinking.....you said you are going in February? Just curious, what part of the world do you live in? February in NY is miserable (freezing cold and snowy - usually). Keep that in mind when you are packing. Last Feb we had about 3 feet of snow so it made getting around pretty difficult.
I live in Argentina. I will get on the plane and here it will be summer.
Don't worry, I already read everything about it and I am willing to get on the adventure =)
In my 23 years, only ONE time Buenos Aires saw the snow. So... for my vacations, I want plenty of it.
