Lowepro Vertex

Anyone have one of these bags? I'm looking for something that will hold 2 Nikon bodies, and 5 lens, (2 of them 300mm zone) and a laptop computer. My concern is while I'm sure the protection for the camera equipment is fine, does the bag provide enough protection for the laptop? The model I was looking at was the 200.

TIA

I don't, but recently spent a very long time looking at camera bags. Overall, I was unimpressed with lowepro as a brand in comparison to what I eventually ended up with, which was by a company called Kata. They really don't skimp on anything, are good sturdy bags, hold more than they say and are priced at a similar level to the lowepros, including a lifetime warranty. The guy in the shop says the company used to supply the Israeli army, which I suppose explains the quality. It's well worth having a look and a feel. http://www.kata-bags.com/

Also, most shops will let you try your equipment in the bags to check that it fits, so it might be a good idea to look at it.

I agree with Rachael... Kata is a very good company. I recently had to wash mine as I sat it down on bird s**t... Stuffed it in the washer and it came out as good as new! I do have a Lowepro Compu Trekker AW but it usually sits in the house. I now travel without my laptop though... just take an iPad to download RAW files to as a backup and work on them when I get home. So much lighter!

Don't know it, just wanted to say that I have a Kata, it's very strong, well thought and was less expensive than the equivalent Lowepro. It's a smaller model though, without laptop compartment, so I can't answer your question further.
