thanks for sharing erin! reminded me of what the art teacher in a show i watched told his students "the viewer should have a physical reaction of some kind when they look at your art, even if it's a negative gut reaction"
Which is all fair enough unless you want to create memories of children. Try pose a child and they go wooden/weird and anyway I don't want a posed memory, I want a real memory.
I have photos from a shoot I went to with my children, I think they do fit the create an image ideology but it was in a studio and it was a set up event. When we're out on a walk and one of them finds something they think is treasure, I want to capture that...pose that and you lose the magic in their eyes.
I think there is a place for all kinds of photography and wouldn't rule out any kind.
