First of all, really sorry to anyone who's commented on my photos and i've not replied/people whose photos i normally comment on... summer is getting quite fast-paced and i'm finding a lot less time to sit looking through everything on here! I will make it up as soon as i can, i swear! :)
Main point: the lovely people at Samsung have given me a new Galaxy Pro phone, and now i have to decide whether i want to move on from the love of my life, the trusty iphone.
One of the things i want to take into account is which phone i can get the better photos with sooooo, which apps do you android/apple fans find the best when it comes to photography?
Surely it's not the apps but the phone, the lens and its sensor that makes the better camera phone? The iPhone 4 has a 5mp sensor so it's probably better (unless you have an old version?)
Funny you bring this up because my contract is up and I was torn between the iPhone 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S2, and one of the reasons I decided on the latter was because of the 8mp sensor takes clearer and better quality images.
@vikdaddy this is true! i have a veeery old (old in this context anyway!) iphone 3g, so there's not actually a lot i can do with it, whereas the samsung has panoramic etc options.
the s2 seems like a good choice, a few of my friends have that and it seems like a good quality option! thanks!
I don't use my cameraphone often (android)...but there's not an awful lot of choice app-wise in terms of photography available (loads that can distort you etc, but very little that do useful stuff). The best one I came across is called Vignette. If you type that into the marketplace it comes up straight away.
I wouldn't choose a cameraphone based on its apps mind. But if you DO end up buying android, Vignette is pretty useful.
android, i use the photoshop app the most and if i am bored i play with camera 360 and fx camera. i shoot most of my photos for the project on the samsung galaxy s. when i had an iPhone i used photoshop the most as well.
Thunderbolt has a 8mp sensor, I used Retro Camera when im bored and dont have my DSLR handy. 360 is not bad. Otherwise just take the shot w/ default cam and edit in Photoshop imo.
The quality you can get from a phone camera these days is actually rather shocking imo.
@lluniau@emeraldboots@cchambers@3nder thanks all for your comments! it seems android is a pretty unanimous vote. i'm definitely going to bear this all in mind... the camera on this phone is clearly better! thanks :)
