This project has been great, and thanks to all of you for being such a supportive community! Also, Autumn Eden was kind enough to walk me through the process here and there, so thanks to her. She has a website, too, so give her a look at www.autumneden.com.
Looking good, Loni! And I am more than happy to help. I actually just messaged you with a little bit of feedback.
If anyone else is considering setting up a SmugMug page and has questions or has already got a domain name and would like to link up with a SmugMug page, let me know. I have step by step directions for how to configure them to play nicely together. =)
@allyssaallor I actually just stuck with one of their basic layouts. Check out my page and let me know if you have any questions. I think I went with classic black. I will have to double check when I get home. I wanted my pictures to stand out on the page since they are so bright and colorful.
Your page is very nicely set up. Is this because you are going pro? Or is it just another place to store photos that don't make the final 365? And is it free or do you have to pay?
@prttblues Thanks! I paid for it. I bought the URL from GoDaddy, then set it up in Smug Mug (and yes, I paid SmugMug, too). SmugMug may have free options, although I'm not sure. Since I'm interested in selling my work at galleries and art fairs, I needed an official website where people can view/purchase my photos. This way is pretty low maintenance and isn't a whole lot of money.
Thanks for all the positive comments, everyone. It's a work in progress, but I think it's okay so far :-)
