What do you think of my Photo? But how do I?

July 25th, 2011
Hi Everyone!

I LOVE this photo of my Daughter Ruby!

After eating out Dinner in the Garden, she found a Lady Bird in the Garden and was happily playing with it for ages! Hence this photo!

But she has food on her gum! And food marks around her mouth!!!

Does anyone know of any easy photo editing I can use to hide the food stains!!!

As I would love to hang this photo on the wall!

Hope you can help?

Thanks once again

Beverley

A 2 minute edit with paintshop

She's adorable!! I was going to suggest the Clone tool in Picnik but it looks like Emma beat me to another option. Nice job

Wow that's an amazing edit @emmar84 how did you do this!

Picasa (free download) also has a cloning tool that can do what @emmar84 did in 2 minutes as well. What a wonderful shot of your daughter!

I used cloning and then brightened the photo with Picnik! This is an adorable picture!

Adorable photo and great edits!

@miley89 first i used the blemish correcter tool (essentially a clone tool) to remove the food marks. Then i brightened the photo and adjusted the shadows/highlight/midtones and contrast.
I then used the free hand select tool to select the eyes and add an unsharp mask to bring out the sparkle. I used the same tool to select the ladybird and increased the saturation and vibrancy.
Finally I adjusted the colour by making it a little warmer.

It sounds a lot but really took only a couple of minutes.

@bevspics Beverley, your photo was already a gorgeous picture, editing it just highlighted it more.
Editing photos really isn't as difficult as it first seems, I only got paintshop in March and since then have spent some time on it each evening, trying different tutorials or just making it up as I go along. There are people on here who really show how little I know with it and I know it will take me a lot of time to reach their level.

I don't know if this photo is a low resolution one, if it is and you want me to edit the larger resolution if you email it to me I can do it this evening. My email is emma.l.roberts@hotmail.co.uk

Hi Emma

Well I've downloaded the 30 day free trial of paint shop!

Omg! I am confused! I have never edited any of my photo's before!

And since you edited the photo of my Daughter I'm willing to give a few of my photo's that extra sparkle!

I've just tried editing a Family shot of all the children, trying to remove Ollie the Dog as he fully wasn't in the shot?

But was completly lost!

It's day 1 of the trial, and like you said it will take time and hopefully I will learn a few tips! So much I buy the package!

Can you give me some advive on Photoshop? Do you recommend watching the tutorials? As a beginer to Photoshop! Is there a easy way around the application?

As it seems so technical & difficult!!

Add me on Face Book Beverley Belsten

It would be lovely to hear from you :)

www.photoshopessentials.com might help or it might overwhelm. They do have a lot of basics on there though.
