Not sure how many Melbournites have heard of this event (I spotted it by 'accident' on a completely different website while looking for something else). Lots of buildings in Melbourne will be open over the weekend, with tours, special access to usually closed-off areas etc. There's even a photography competition, and this year's programme uses lots of pics from last year's entrants. Places like the College of Surgeons, Her Majesty's Theatre, Newman college are amongst the 75 on the list, and will be running free guided tours and activities.
