Shooting in manual on 450d

August 24th, 2011
Something tells me that this is a really stupid question.... but I've spent a week trying to figure it out and no luck, so i'm going to have to ask.

I've never shot in full manual so far, but now I feel ready to give it a go. When i put my camera into manual mode though, i can adjust the shutter speed, but not the aperture... how on earth do i do it?

Thanks in advance :)

hi Suzi, do you see the "Av" button beside the LCD screen... push that while turning the dial to adjust aperture :) when you push it the aperture should be highlighted in blue on the LCD screen. hope that helps, let me know if my explanation isn't good...

I think I need that book! We're travelling and I accidentally left the camera manual behind - lets hope that when I'm reunited with it in a year or two I won't need it any more

You can usually find the manual on line!
