Are the rest of you noticing that the number of times your photos are viewed have gone down? For me I feel like my photos have improved since the 1-1-11 when I started. However the number of views have gone done.
I am not obsessed with numbers, I am just curious if other people have noticed this as well.
Also, there are people that I follow who used to show up on my home page all of the time, and now I have to go look for their posts...
I have noticed that as well Anne. As a matter of fact, I've seen it when I have 3 comments and it says I've only gotten 2 views, so I know something is off - noticed that some time ago.
And just recently noticed having to "search out" friends' photos too - so don't think it's just you . . .
Sometimes people comment from the thumbnails, and it doesn't give you a page view. Someone else posted a discussion about that. I did that when I was short on time, but now I right click and open pictures in a new link, five at a time, and it makes my posting go much more smoothly, and everyone gets my view counted.
Me too. Maybe it's just a time of year when everyone has a lot going on. It's a pain going from the thumbnails to the whole photo, but I try to do that because I feel like I just can't do the photo justice with the thumbnail, but probably some people in the interest of time have to limit it to looking at the thumbnail.
I don't have many followers either now. I just figured my photo's are not good enough. There are so many real professionals on this site, I don't blame them lol.
For me, I have been sooooo busy that I have hardly had time to visit peoples pages.. with the summer coming to an end and winter on its back (in the Northern Hem) I think you will find people will be back indoors and on their pc's a lot more.

Mine are down in direct proportion to how much I've been neglecting everyone else on this site.
Also, I don't think people are as impressed with my last-minute iPhone shots as they are with my client portraits. The first part of all this is that I am so busy and have so little time, and the second part is because I'm too lazy to sort through photos for one to post on the same day as I take them. Fail. :(
