Why have you ruled out the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 or 4.5-5.6?

@sudweeks Its too similar to Canon and has mixed reviews. If I was going with a non-canon lens, I would like lot more for the similar price such as fixed aperture and faster lens and hence interest in Tokina.

@HD i guess you plan to do landscapes with the mm? i would suggest stick with F/2.8. I just got a Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8, great review, see link:

Canon is worth paying the premium, in my opinion. 'L' class glass (just about) in an EF-S body.

Here's a few of my shots:

@vikdaddy Vik, do you ever feel need for wider aperture than f/3.5?
Great photos, I have seen these in your album in the past but didnt realize that it was Canon 10-22. fabulous photos. Thanks for your response.

@devanago No, never. For landscapes, I wouldn't want to go larger than something like f/8, because I want to keep everything in focus!

I have a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 and you can go through my album
95% of my photos are taken with this lens

I also always shoot at f/8 or smaller as well
I rarely ever go wider
