SO excited!! I got a new lens recently (thanks to my husband for letting me splurge!!) and I get to try it out as a tag-along second shooter at a friends wedding today! I got the Sigma 17-50mm / 2.8 and can't wait to see what it can do!!
Thanks all :) I had a great time.... Here are some photos I took at the wedding. I'm just in the beginning stages of editing the MANY shots I took. Please keep in mind this is the first wedding I've ever done... I knew it would be challenging dealing with the lighting in the church. I'm quite thankful that I had my new lens, but wished I had (and had experience using!) all of the equipment that the pro was using :) I was just the tag-along second shooter!
@dawnetta hey don't be so hard on yourself, they're good shots of the wedding dress! doesn't matter what the pros have, it's how you use your camera and talent that matters =)
I read an advise from a pro when he was just starting out, once you're done with your post-processing, give a copy to the official photographer discreetly and your details, you don't know he might contract you one day for his future shoots, if he doesn't use them, no harm done.
