I have always wondered what other people listen to when they edit photos. I know for me it can really change how I edit a photo, depending on the mood given from the song. For the most part though I listen to dubstep blasted through some noise canceling headphones while editing photos (It sounds hetic, and I like hetic situations so its actually rather calming haha)

I am a tv girl... and normally edit on my laptop in front of the tv, either at home or work... the program can effect the feel of the photos so I do know what you mean
I'm really into Seether and Portishead when I'm editing, and sometimes My Dying Bride, but I have to be careful that it doesn't affect my editing style too much (it really can!) and end up with everything having dark undertones.
But lately I've been finding that The Jezabels have been perfect - their music places me in such a wonderful headspace for those long editing sessions. These two tracks, especially:
Like @frameit, I tend to have the television on instead, and work on my laptop.
However, our TVs aren't working here, at the moment, so I have been listening to music instead. Just whatever music I'm really liking at the time, though - I don't have specific "editing tracks" to put on! At the moment, I'm really into The Gaslight Anthem, so it'd probably be something of theirs...
Silence. Sweet, silence. I usually have to wait until my daughter and parents go to bed, so I don't have to listen to the annoying tv or one of her cartoon movies for the millionth time.
Usually absolutely nothing, and I shut out all noise with my wonderful noise-cancelling headphones. I read somewhere that listening to music when you draw makes for a worse outcome, and I've found it to be true for myself, so I keep it quiet to get my best work every time. Okay, most of the time. Well, sometimes. XD Quiet really does help, though.
The birds because I usually only get time on the computer early in the morning. No music, no tv, just the birds. Oh, and the cat, who wants to go out and back in every 15 minutes. ;-)
I have SportsCenter on right now going over the first week of College Football. Earlier this week it seems I had my mother talking to me about anything, everything and my photos.
"MMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you on the computer because the PS3 has gone crazy?!!?! MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
That's what I HAVE to listen to when I edit on picnik.
@triciaanddazzle@elke ah fellow 2 am... quite as possible editors.... many parents are very strange people... before kids... I would have had the TV, Radio and music all playing... now I find the buzing of my computer screen too loud...
