New ideas

My life isn’t as interesting as it may seem. I have a routine and I following it because I have no choice being in the military. I wake up, go work out, get ready for work, breakfast, go to work (8-9 hrs), dinner, relax, work out again, get ready for bed, and finally sleep. Monday through Friday is pretty much the same thing. I live on base so I don’t get to go out into the city during lunch or what not. I sit behind my desk most of the day so I don’t get to see much and whatever I do see is the same thing every day. I try to go out and get pictures of Marines working or around base and all I get is crazy looks and questions plus I’m pretty much busy throughout the day.

Since I do the same things day after day after day and my creativity was lacking I had to find something to keep me going and coming up with ideas. Yesterday I found out that it was National Taco day so I thought it would be a good idea to take a photo and related to tacos. I looked it up on the internet and it was true and while I was doing that I found this cool site that list holidays & observations. It’s neat and helps me with deciding or figuring out what to photography.

For example I was looking under October and today (Oct 5) is :
Smile Day
Simchat Torah
World Teachers Day
Do Something Nice Day
National Depression Screening Day

Since I have friends/family members that are teachers or work in the educations field I will take a photo of something teacher/education related.
Check out the site. Hopefully it helps you with ideas if you are running out of them.
