Unless they deleted you they should still get your pics on their home page and starting a thread like this ALWAYS seems to create new interest. I'm sure you will be busy again really soon.
i hope so! i didn't want to put the thread before i caught up on all my pictures though. however i am finally caught up. being in college really bogged me down at first.
Just comment on a few peoples pages and follow them. If they like your work they will follow you back. Every time you make a nice comment people will feel interested in your work and try to see who likes them... just go for it.

Make lots of positive and encouraging comments all over the place!

@reba i thought about that but originally it was because i was on the new faces page for the first bit which made my followers hit about 60, which is now down to 40. i'll definitely get to commenting.
i joined this site a week ago and started following a few people that i looked through their work and enjoyed them. and slowly that starts building up your own followers i think.. lol.
I accept bribes. Jolly Ranchers. Peanut butter. Nutella is better. Cold hard cash works at times but then I just blow it on DVD rentals at the Red Box.
Oh...and yeah posting discussions, commenting on discussions, following me, those tings work, also :P
lots of good advice above. i'd add that it's more important to comment on other's pics than thanking them for commenting on yours. they already know you appreciate their comments.
Start a discussion that allows you to post one or more of your pictures as illustration. I see several people who do that regularly and I imagine it boosts the number of views by quite a bit.
I more interesting in following than being followed, though. I feel so guilty not responding (thanking) cuz I work 4 days a week and not only few minutes a day to see 365. I love all my followers because I follow them!
