resale price - Canon Rebel XS

November 23rd, 2011
My camera is 2 years old... has had heavy use, but is in good shape - no problems with function or appearance. I'm considering upgrading, and I have a friend who is interested in purchasing... not sure how much I should try to charge - any thoughts? Thanks!

I would look at how much it costs used on Amazon or Ebay. :-)

I agree with Trina. I would also take into account if you are including anything extra beyond the body such as a lens, case, etc.

Thanks guys :) I've looked on Ebay... such a wide range of starting bids... from $150 to $350.... not sure what they're actually selling for - guess I'm just going to have to watch closely for awhile. Since I'm potentially selling to a friend, I don't want to ask **too** much, but still want to get the best deal I can for myself (towards and upgrade, of course!)

I always check what B&H and Adorama's used prices are, and base off of that (at least when I'm buying from another person0. When I was buying my friend's D200, B&H sold them for $500 used, so I got his for $350 since there was no warrantied and it was beaten up. At least that's how I do it...

Look down the list for the ones with a green box with sold in it.
This is from Ebay. Plus the seller has to pay fees from the final purchase price.
