so... I've been looking (starting research, though I think it'll still be a bit before I upgrade) at these two cameras, and I can't figure out what the difference is - are there any feature upgrades, or just style differences? Is it worth the cost to pay for the 3i vs. the 2i?

The flip out screen is huge for me. The better screen and a built-in flash transmitter are bonuses that I plan on using when I get one.
