For those of you kids who are fans of Hipstamatic, they released a couple of RetroPaks today that have a lot of the old lenses and films. So, if you have missed any, check it out! One of the paks has Libatique, my favorite Hipsta lens ever.
The only one I was missing was Tejas - the drawback to this is that you have to buy the whole pak, whether or not you need everything in it.
@shadesofgrey If you were cool enough to have an iPhone, you would already have it. All the cool kids have Hipstamatic. ;) Just kidding, dude. I am a diehard iPhone user - I wouldn't have anything else - but just like cameras, people carry what they carry for whatever reason suits their purposes. I'm cool with that.
@beautifulthing I am a fan of Droid, just cause I don't have to pay for everything if I don't want to, but of course I always do ;) I liked the 3G iPhone, but now they don't look as sleek so I'm kinda turned off! Maybe Hipsta will eventually come out with a droid version, till then I'll make due with Vignette, which is actually pretty cool too.
@andycoleborn Same. I don't have enough friends that have iPhones anyway, even if I was. To be able to do anything with it at all, you have to connect to FB. And then, after that, I heard it costs $.99 per roll. No bueno.
ah yeah, seem to have all these already. the D thing sounds like a worrying turn for hipsta lovers. I don't get it, mind you I don't really get FB either
@hmgphotos You know what I did once, and it took forever, so it's a good thing I have no life, but it was crazy helpful...I went through and took a pic of the same subject with every lens/film combination that was available at the time. Now, as new lenses have come out, I do the same thing with each film - although, I have not gone back and done the new films with each lens, now that I think about it. Like I said, took forever, but you get a sense really quick of what you like and don't like. I don't have my Hipstamatic shots automatically save to the camera roll - they stay in Hipsta, so I can scroll through, pick the one I like, and use "Match Settings". For the longest time I kept them all in there, but I have started going through and deleting the ones I don't like and therefore won't ever use. Susie Lens, I'm looking at you.
@hmgphotos - Sometimes I'll choose a specific lens or film, but I usually shake the phone to change to a random combination.
thanks for posting!
@bradsworld i shake for random combinations too.......i think it's neat! plus i still have yet to figure out the best lens/film combinations on my own
