only one photo a day?

January 2nd, 2012
I came up with a family resolution to use 365project each day in 2012. I'm having each family member take a photo of something exciting, unusual or perhaps ordinary in their lives. When I went to upload a second picture for Jan. 1st the uploader told me I couldn't use that date? Is it true that I can only upload one pic a day?

Yes, you can only have 1 photo per day. :) Welcome to 365!

@txwheeler Welcome to 365! If you upgrade to an ace account you can do three galleries, so you could do more than one photo a day. With the free account you can only do one pic per day.

Thanks. That changes what I wanted to do. I"m kind of disappointed about that. I wanted to inspire my kids to try different things this year and post them to this project. Now I find that will be impossible.

If you'd like to upload more, you can get an ACE membership for the site. It gives you three albums to work with, supports the site, and is only 20 dollars for the year. You can also see the stats for your pictures, which is neat.

why not let them get their own accounts? or, even better get each person an ace membership, which will really help support the site as well?

ACE membership would be good but I have 4 people in my family.

As @cchambers suggested, it could be cool if they each have their own project. You can follow each other that way. Anyway, welcome!!

why not make a collage of the 4 photos and post that every day...

@txwheeler You could get two accounts and let two people share each one. It is cheaper for a year that way than taking them all out to dinner for only one night or going to one movie. Welcome to the site! ;~} There are several good suggestions to your dilemma here which is only one of the great reasons to belong. Everyone is genuinely concerned and helpful.

thanks everyone for your ideas.

i would make sure they want to do the project - my dad came up with a family resolution for all one time... it didn't work out so well. might start with each individual membership, and if they really enjoy it, consider the ace memberships. i can't say enough positive about the ace membership. with everything this site offers, it is a drop in the bucket compared to what other sites might charge. hosting a site like this has a lot of costs to it, and the other option would be to flood it with advertising, which is not seen much here, making the site much more enjoyable to view without pop ups everywhere.

I think the collage idea is great! I've seen a few people do that on here.

I would set each person up with their own account, that way each person can comment individually on each others and other peoples photos.

@txwheeler Along with the seperate accounts thing, you could make the usernames and passwords similar so they could easily be remembered.

You can upload photos to past months too. A little harder to organize but allows you to upload multiple photos w/o an ACE account.

I think the calendar goes back to 2008 when you upload a photo so you could give each person one year within the same account and just use the day + individual year for each person

Give each family member an account. Including pets, and larger kitchen appliances.

Ross has a great answer . . that one sounds like fun for everyone!

@txwheeler - My cousins got together to do 365Project and they each picked a day of the week. They all had one name (like Jones Family) and password but they only filled in their day. It is neat to see their photos because I get to see all 5 of them in their daily lives.
