I can't answer your question- but I hope they do make an app :) It would be brilliant to be able to use 365 on the go without having to use my phones browser x
i am using both this time around. the two are completely different, and i think this is much more involved, better community, etc. the iphone app seems to be a calender with photo a day blocks and can email and upload to facebook, twitter, etc. i am using it mainly to play around with and in hopes of keeping my photos a bit organized on my phone. not sure how long that will last...
One thing I've found that's handy - I added the mobile site directly to my phone with the Add to Home Screen function, so that it appears there, just like an app:
@beautifulthing Which of those apps would you really reccommend? :) I've got an iPhone and would really like some good photo editing apps, all I use at the moment is Instagram and Camera+
@eyebrows This is totally off subject but I wanted to thank you for making the 25tolife scan available to 365ers. I know it will make you even more impressed with yourself (and God know you need no help with that!) but you are like a rocket scientist to me who has NO technical skills. I used the scan today on my project and it made it so easy to find the zombies. Thank you,Steve!
@grammyn hahahaha, "and God know you need no help with that!" that's the finest compliment-insult I've received in quite some time, I'm honoured :D
And: you're welcome; I like this place and its community of varied sorts, so try to help out where I can, but really I only made that thing to satisfy my own curiosity, and then decided it'd be fun to make it robust enough for others to use :)
I would love a proper app. The mobile version of the site is good, but lacks some key functionality - for example, you have to switch to the main version of the site to view or participate in the discussion threads, and, most crucially of all, there's no way to upload images directly from the iPhone. (I always have to put images from my iPhone onto my computer, and then upload - when I try to use the email address, the pictures always turn up sideways in my project.)
@melhooper
I like Hipstamatic, as well, and a new app called Snapseed, which someone on my Twitter feed has recommended, both of which I like a lot. I also use Photoshop Express from time-to-time.
@melhooper I am a big fan of both Photoforge and Snapseed for editing. Neither one of them seem to strip EXIF data, which is a big deal for me. Big Lens, Hipstamatic, and Camera+ are the others I use quite a lot.
@Scrivna Ross, any chance of the mobile site having better support for the "Back" button. it is painful to look other others photos when you click on to load older pictures, then view one of them, and hit back, it goes to only the last 10 and have to scroll down again, press the load more pictures button, etc.
@mallocarray That's nothing to do with the site and everything to do with the browser. Well, I mean, you *could* create a mechanism to make that work, but it's browsers that do it on full size computers and it's browsers that should do it on smaller ones too... try a different browser?
hey there 365ers! Was wondering, what is the URL for the mobile site? Can't find it anywhere! Note: I'm trying to access it on my phone (a symbian phone, using opera mobile).
