[Theme] 9 to 5

March 8th, 2010
Happy New Theme everyone!

Congratulations to David P. for winning the Out in Public theme with this great photo! Click here to see all the other fantastic entries.

David has chosen "working 9 to 5" for next week's theme. This is a great theme as we all do something day to day, whether it is clocking in at our jobs, raising our kids, or going to school; "perhaps we could try to capture an aspect of our work each day. Maybe the morning commute, or something that reflects different jobs or workplaces."

As always, to enter your photo to this weeks theme, you need to upload and tag a photo with the tag "theme-9to5"

Entry to this theme starts on Monday (8th March) and will accept entries until Sunday night (23:59 GMT March 14th), voting will begin the following day.

Entries must have been taken and uploaded this week only! Entries outside of the date range will not be accepted. You can enter up to 7 entries (one for each day of the week).

Now let's go have some fun at our jobs and happy snapping!

soo...what happens if you are in school, and youre not an adult with a full time job? do you take pictures AT school? haha.....
March 8th, 2010
I would assume Lauren that we'd take pictures during school. Try to do it without getting caught =P

*sigh* and the recently unemployed?

I would imagine that you don't have to take pictures of your OWN job, so those without a job to speak of for whatever reason could always take pictures of someone else at work. It could be the waitress at a diner, the construction guys (& gals) working on the roads, etc.

I like this theme, I don't work either, but I work every day doing something from 9-5. Can't wait to see a more personal view of what everyone does or captures.

I like this theme too! And it goes well with my favorite muse, working with my kiddo's! I'm in!
March 8th, 2010
I love this theme - working, not working, under worked, over worked surely everyone does something between 9-5!
March 8th, 2010
I'm right there with you Erin. I know it doesn't necessarily need to be your own job, but this is a depressing theme. :(
March 8th, 2010
Oh rats, I would love to do this but photographing at work is not allowed.

Depressing? How can it be, unless you seriously think your life is depressing. If you don't work then surely you fill your day with something even it's coffees, kids, washing, reading, gardening, watching tv...................

oops... didn't want to depress people with this theme! i was thinking that a lot of people probably squeeze their daily photos around their 'working' day, whether its at the office, looking after the family or studying, so why not try and incorporate the 9 to 5 routine into our photos. And as others have suggested, we probably see people at work or workplaces around us all the time without really thinking about it?!
Hopefully there's some fun in our 9 to 5's...

It's enough to drive you crazy if you let it...
March 8th, 2010
Ok, I'm in! I can't think of any intelligent comment at the moment, so good luck everybody!
March 8th, 2010
Oooh, I know what I am going to snap a picture of! Great theme.
March 9th, 2010
congrats David

Well, this could be interesting! The great thing about my job is that it's different every single day - different times, different places, different things to do... And it never falls neatly between the hours of 9am and 5pm!

But luckily you've caught me on one of the busier weeks for this, so there should be plenty to photograph!

awe... That sux that some people thinks it's depressing. I like the 9to5 theme. I think it's making me find something creative within the mundane. but don't worry about it David..you can't please everyone.

It's Cool! I'll have to photograph something that I work on (or do) from the hours between 9 and 5! Nice Theme!

what a close call... I thought I had tagged my picture with the theme. I was looking at all the entries; and I finished and thought "I don't remember seeing my entry". So I did another run through and realized I miss tagged my entry, it's in there now.
