Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that voted, and especially to those who took part.

I'm going to keep trying to get in contact with various ED organisations and send the winning photograph to them, and hopefully, fingers crossed, they'll be willing to post it on their websites.

However, in the meantime, as Sheri (@petersonsheri) suggested, please, anyone who is willing, post the winning photo on their facebook page - lets try and get it circling facebook to raise awareness for this over-looked illness.

If anybody would like to add some statistics, there's some here;

@peggysirk ; (: !
i started a note on FB 'cause what i wrote was too big for just a picture lol, i added these statistics if anyone wants to copy them..
Shoking statistics;
* At least 1.1 million people in the UK are affected by an eating disorder - nearly 2 in every 100 secondary school girls suffer from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or binge eating disorder.

* BEAT Cymru found that 50,000 people in Wales have eating disorders and as many as 1-in-10 of them may die prematurely as a result.

* Disgustingly, only 1 in 5 people in Wales believe that eating disorders are a mental health condition. This stigma is found throughout the World and leaves ED sufferers feeling too ashamed to seek help.

* According to US estimates from The National Institute of Mental Health, 5 - 10 million girls and women, and 1 million boys and men suffer from eating disorders.

* General estimates suggest that as many as 10-15 per cent of eating disorders are FATAL for those affected.

* Many people fail to realize that eating disorders are more than just a way to force yourself into staying thin. ED's such as anorexia & bulimia are very serious mental illnesses just like depression and schizophrenia.

REMEMBER: Recovery IS possible!
