Please take a picture of your favorite store and tell us what you like about the store. Maybe you like the decor, or you like the merchandise, their clerks etc. anything...
Be careful with this. We have had many, many discussions about street photography and one common term has always applied: public property.
Photographers do not have the right to shoot photos on private property, such as retail stores and malls, without permission of the manager. You may run into problems if you start shooting photos of store interiors, merchandise, and especially of their employees.
Ha ha! I was at my favorite store today and just posted a photo from it! I LOVE the Yankee Candle Co. flagship store!! Great colors, incredible smells, and an atmosphere that lets you escape from reality for a while! I took a TON of photos, but fortunately no one seemed to care.
@interludephotos yankee candle FLAGSHIP store?! this sounds amazing! i love yankee candle too but only have a small shop in my town :( even though it's small i can still spend hours in there!
@bec01 oooh, I love lush too! It used to be a mail order company called 'costmetics to go' when I was a teenager, went bust, then happily came back to rule the world! Grins.
This is an easy one for me... I'm a Target whore! No matter how I feel I can go there and just walk around looking at everything and it brightens my mood!
@grimbo I'm not sure where you live, but there are 3 or 4 of them in the US. This is the original one where Michael Kettridge was - the founder of Yankee. It's HUGE! I have a ton of great photos of the place....we went yesterday and there was no one there. It's like Disney World for candle lovers....and kids love it too.
@interludephotos Oh yes, I used to pass one on the way to work everyday and loved going in for a sniff of all the new candles! @bec01@blightygal Love it also, I just feel so happy when I can smell the store, I would love to work there! I too remember Cosmetics to go my Mum used to get really cross when another parcel came as I kept too many face masks and moisturisers in the fridge!
Spring is in the air so I wanted to buy some plants for the garden. I was so suprised to find out that the plants were placed on alphabetical, Almost like books in a bookstore.

I also like local coffee shops with quirky characters:
it always smells fantastic and is bright and colourful...and lots of nice things to buy.
