The photos you have posted are looking great Ashley. Just keep looking at everything as a potential photo and crop a lot. Your focus seems to be excellent.
Yes Crop is your friend. Try looking at different composition ideas. If you see a flower don't just take one picture and be done. Try looking at it from every possible angle. I normally snap pictures while changing positions. You never know what you will love. I also read a while ago that you shouldn't delete your mistakes because you never know what pictures you will fall in love with later. This has proven true a couple times for me. I am also a beginner but just reading tutorials is a great help They really give you some cool ideas.
challenge yourself with new ideas, contribute to the weekly themes, click on 'more details' on peoples photos if you like them to see how they took the photo so you can experiment yourself, and most importantly have fun!!
