Street shot of Motel 3 from the Bario. Few of these old motel motor courts remain. They were designed for an interim residence for people that were temporarily unsettled. Some were rented for a day, a week or months. The movie "Salena" from the early 1990's filmed some location scenes on this property.

I remember these! There were a few in Maggie Valley, NC used for honeymoon huts. Amazing there are still some around.

There’s still a handful here in Oregon too. Most are pretty rural and on highways. Great image.

@speedwell not really sure, but most likely they are similar to an efficiency apartment. Living/bedroom, kitchenette and bath.

So interesting! There is a similar place in a town near me. They have been renovated and people love them, especially for longer stays.
