a most interesting shot - with the lines and curves and then boom! a human element right in the midst of things. i'm studying mr. giacomelli's works and i'm rather perplexed with his style. i definitely won't be taking any dead people in coffins (that might be possible if i was still in the old country but not where i am right now or i might find myself in the slammer) or the disadvantaged, but i'm pretty sure to come across something that would be suitable for your challenge. but aces on this, DD. i like the composition.
Walking to the light... I like the change from very dark to light. Great lines to from the path and then the verticals of the pillar and the curves. Don't know Mr Giacomelli, must check him out.
You have got the strong lines and contrast, and the element of intrigue that I notice on a brief examination of his work. Fascinating. Did she pose for you?
@summerfield Thank you very much! As a self taught photographer, I think Giacomelli mainly went where his curiosity brought him. There is such a distance between the "fabula" series and the photos of the poor in Calabria, for instance... Yet such a strong, recognizable style. I think there's something for everybody to be inspired. I look forward to seeing your contribution! @overalvandaan Do it, there's a link to his posthumous website in the challenge thread! And thank you! @helenhall Thank you very much! No, the lady was there by a fortunate chance! @pistache Thank you indeed! Obviously, out of the competition!
