2015 August 17: Each evening when I have finally decided which one of today's pics will be my Photo of the Day, I have settled into a process that gives me the most "mileage" from my work: Firstly I upload it to my facebook page to see how it looks on the web.
If that post passes my inspection, I then upload it to my treasured 365Project account. Finally, I copy/paste the photo and narrative into a newsletter template in Microsoft Office Publisher or Word so I will have a hard-copy to sit back and peruse in later months and years.
This has turned out to be a very enjoyable way to journal, and the 365 one-photo-per-day has been remarkably effective at keeping me on track.
Thanks @Gayle Sears and @Janet B. ...Gayle, it sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't because Microsoft already made the templates, and after I decide on my first post (usually fb) the other two uses for my daily photo are just copy/paste ...It usually only takes around 15 minutes or so.
Wow- good for you! After my first year I thought I'd like to put all my pictures into a book but was unable to afford it at the time. The second year was the same. Now five years later, there's just too much to catch up with and as the years go by, the commentary under the photos disappears. I don't know if I could remember what I'd written for them if I tried. So your system is perfect!
Thanks for sharing the process of organizing your photos. It sounds like a lot of work, but I'm sure it would be easy to find and recall any of the images.I printed only a part of my first year in a photo book and I love it.
