Amongst the Fallen Leaves

2017.01.11 Wednesday: I haven't seen our backyard Brown thrashers much in recent weeks, so it was a thrill today to see this one foraging amongst the fallen leaves!

Ooo, what a handsome bird...wonderful capture! I love those splashy breast markings and their habit of rummaging through the leaves for food...so fun to watch as leaves and twigs get flipped this way and that. Lucky you!
