2017.01.14 Saturday: Despite a rather dark cloud cover, today turned out to be a wonderfully warm winter day. Our high temperature was 72 degrees F (22 degrees C) ...such a comfortable temperature that I ended up spending most of the day outdoors even though we opened all of our windows to let the warm breeze blow inside.
Our local weatherman reported that this warmth is due to a High pressure area over Bermuda (known as the Bermuda High); it is keeping all of the cold air well north of us. This is expected to last through the next week; I am looking forward to enjoying the warmth!
For today, I enjoyed watching the clouds floating overhead against the bare branches of the trees.
