Half and Half #6

2017.05.06 Saturday: Half and Half #6 -- A trip to the grocery story was the inspiration for this photo.

While in the produce section, I pulled up the camera app on my phone and nonchalantly took a few pics of the produce, trying my best to stay inconspicuous :). The store was quite crowded, but most of the shoppers were so busy bustling about that hardly anyone noticed me furtively lining up my phone camera so that the pics came out vertically half-and-half (although the few who did notice looked at me quite quizzically!).

When I got back home, I cropped the photo to square format and added in a nicer background to emphasize the half-and-half format and give a more "artistic" feel to the image.

Good shot! I thought the background was the actual background until I read the commentary. I know the feeling about trying not to be noticed but every once a while..! I just say, "It's for a photo assignment" if I get the "look".

Christmas colors! Different colors and textures. Vegetables are great to photograph, especially when they cooperate. 8-)

@olivetreeann That's a good approach ...I'm going to remember to say "photo assignment" next time I am noticed. Today I was spotted taking a pic in public; I remembered another 365er's advice and innocently took a selfie also as if that had been my intent all along :)
