old faithful...yellowstone national park.

spent most of the day at yellowstone national park....beautiful. this is old faithful...a hot spring geyser that erupts every 1/2 hour or so. this photo is about mid~eruption.

currently....i am sitting at a cute litte airport in cody, wyoming awaiting a flight to salt lake city, utah....in which i will hop a connecting flight home to minneapolis, minnesota for the evening.
tomorrow morning....flight to atlanta with my boys for my sister's wedding....the next leg of my gypsee travels ~~~>~>>>~>>>

I saw this as a child and it left amazing memories. I can still smell that amazing sulphuorus odour from those geysers and mud. Fabulous place captured so well here.

Having lived in MT, I've seen a million pics of Old Faithful, but I have to say I love the angle you took this from, and since I know you couldn't get toooo close, the lens did a great job of capturing the drama. Nicely done!!
