and on the horizon line
i see mermaids...swimming in the waves.
blending the sky and water
in shades of blue ~*~*~
weaving the 2 together ~~~>~>~>~>>
until they decide to become land explorers.
and trade their tails for the wings of a
dragonfly.
as they slowly fly over to the
rocks i am lounging on...
i watch the whole thing
while he sips
scotch
and i listen to him proclaim his love for the
North Shore.
i smile in response...partly because
i know my secret.
