Today my heart is aching for my beloved Sophie passed away in my arms last night. She was 14 years young. Her body was failing her in various different ways, but her spirit was a happy, playful puppy. I will forever miss her loving, loyal spirit, the company that she was for me, and her adoring way of looking up at me when I came to her. So sad today. Hoping there are endless tennis balls in the beautiful fields of doggy heaven. Rip.
I know you've been posting Sophie lately, saying she had less energy. It's so fitting that you held her to sleep as you have given her love every day of her life, and she to you as well. I hope you find some comfort in that and also that she is no longer tired. I'm sure your entire family is mourning.

Oh Erica I am so sorry to hear this. We get so much pleasure from our pets and it is always sad when they depart. I am sure Sophie will be bouncing around chasing tennis balls now.
I feel your pain - we lost our beloved 14+ yr old Tash earlier n the year and I still miss her - it doesn't hurt to think of her any more but its not the same without her. Cherish the wonderful unconditional love you had from her xxx
